1th International Course on Health Systems: Concepts and Analysis
1th International Course on Health Systems: Concepts and Analysis in partnership with the World Health Organization was held at the School of Public Health

The department of Global Health and Public Policy held the 1th International Course on Health Systems in partnership with the World Health Organization (WHO) from December, 2016 to January, 2017 at the School of Public Health. Dr. Sameen Sediqie, the WHO representative in the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Ali Akbari Sari, Dr. Seyed Reza Majdzade, and Dr. Amirhossein Takian attended as lecturers. This was as an English course. Basic health concepts, measuring in health system, social determinants of health, universal health coverage or UHC, examples from different countries, and health system analysis were some of the raised issues. To evaluate participants two exams were taken, midterm and final. The exams were on evaluating IR Iran’s status in achieving UHC. At the end, a certificate of appreciation was given to Dr. Sediqie by school’s dean, Dr. Ali Akbari Sari, in recognition of his participation.
