Services and advisory activities

In addition to teaching and research activities, the faculty members have administrative responsibilities, are responsible for supervising committee on evaluation of insecticides, arthropods and rodents of medically importance, supervision and management of health research centers, membership of the national committees on leishmaniasis, malaria, vector control, Higher Planning Council, board of medical entomology, and some expert committees of the World Health Organization.

Chemical and biological toxins, submitted for testing by government agencies and private sector, are evaluating in this department as part of services. Also laboratory diagnosis of pests/ectoparasites for patients who referred to the school of public health as well as preparing administrative procedures for medical and health supply units are part of the department services.
